Memorial: Nancy McAvoy Gajdosik age 97
a) Debbie, Nancy’s daughter has let it be known that “my beautiful mom was called home yesterday, August 14th, at 5:43pm. She got to spend time with all five of her kids, individually and collectively, in the days before she passed and my sister, Kate, and I were with her right to the end. She wasn’t in pain and she wasn’t alone. She told us many times that she was ready to go and she wasn’t afraid. She knew she was awaited. Her passing was peaceful.
She touched so many lives during her time on this earth and so many people are going to miss her. We don’t know what the world looks like without her in it and right now, that world is blurred. In time it will come into focus again, but for now, we miss our mom. We always will. Details of a celebration of her life, including a Catholic mass, will be forthcoming. Many thanks to everyone in this community for the richness you added to her life.
b) From Leonard: Nancy was a member of this choir from its early days until the COVID pandemic. She hosted our Facebook Page and was an ardent supporter of the choir’s purpose and place in the community: Kind, cheerful, and a mentor to many. Thank You, Nancy.
Passwords for Website
Unlike previous years, each season will have a specific password assigned (not each person). If you have already registered, the goal is to send out the password to you on Sept. 1. Those registering on or after that date will receive the password at time of registering.
Video of Spring Concert
Our May 3rd concert was videotaped by technicians of the church. We have had a copy of the recording for a couple of weeks and are preparing it for publication. The reason for the delay surrounds the size of the file. Apparently, the project was so massive that it overwhelmed their equipment, and they had to do some programming before making it available.
